Spring Boquet

This was an extremely difficult mosaic to create. I wanted the vase and some of the flowers and leaves to be 3 dimensional, but cutting a glass vase in half is tricky. Thankfully, my first attempt was on a “practice” vase. It exploded all over the place! I'm very pleased that I had taken my husband's advise to wear protection. The dark blue flowers are made from some of the remains of that vase. I also went through several permutations with the three dimensional flowers. I hope you enjoy the way it came out as much as I do. Even the flat glass isn't really flat; so that the light plays off the many different surfaces in a variety of ways.
