Quotes within a Quote

I wanted to make words into art and catch your eye with an unusual shape, so I used a quotaion mark. The quotes and phrases are as important to life as they are to mosaicking. “Arrange the pieces that come your way.” is from Virginia Wolf. “If it's broken, pick up the pieces, and create something new.” is my version of the old song “Pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and start all over again.” I was trying to think of another good quote while I was listening to Barbra Sings Broadway, and there it was: “Bit by bit - putting it together” from Sunday In The Park With George, by Stephen Sondheim. How appropriate is that! The background for this mosaic is handmade paper, paint, and glitter behind safety glass.
